Tipasa launched in four pilot institutions for interlibrary loans

The VDX interlibrary loan (ILL) system, also known as Colombo, is at the end of its service life with a planned shutdown in June 2024. To ensure a smooth transition to OCLC’s Tipasa software, the rollout has been split into two groups, with four pilot institutions going live in the winter of 2022, and the remaining 14 PBUQ member institutions during the summer of 2022.

Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, HEC Montréal, École de technologie supérieure and Polytechnique Montréal launched Tipasa in January as planned.

For the remaining institutions, training will be provided to staff in French and English during the winter, and the system will be launched during the summer of 2022.
